Music Memory 10,000 Maniacs - These are Days
The other morning NPR was interviewing Natalie Merchant regarding her latest project , Leave Your Sleep, and it brought back a music memory.
I loved 10,000 Maniacs, OK still love, back in the early '90's I was super ecstatic to see them live. It was a concert to remember as this was the time moshing was becoming more mainstream and leaving the punk concert venues. This is not moshing music and Natalie had to remind the crowd several times. This was also the time I was introduced to Bob's son Jakob Dylan and his band.
It was a great night to be young and burgeoning into my adult life. All things were possible and this was the song that cemented that thought into our souls.
Another side note on Natalie Merchant, if you ever get a chance to see her live, do it. Her voice is amazing live, there is no studio magic with her. It is pure and perfect.
I look forward to checking out her new album, even though it is lullaby's.

Willkommen
Blue Eyes
Anyway take a look at those bright blue peepers. Aren't they gorgeous?
Baby I is such a cutie and so social. She waves to anyone she can in the grocery store. She loves to be around people. I just hope that one day she will remember me.
I introduced her to the piano, seriously I thought she would have banged on the keys by then but no it was totally new to her. She LOVED it. She was a bit cautious at first but realized quickly that it was fun to really press on those keys. Future pianist? Possibly.
Sisters
Aren't my sisters beautiful?!?! Seriously getting a photo of them is like chasing down the elusive Sasquatch. They are probably going to yell at me for posting this but I will deal.
I love to be around them and only wish Emily was in the photo too.
I am a lucky lady to have amazing sisters who support, love and giggle with me.
Princess CA
I adore my Niece CA! She had a very special birthday a couple of months ago and for her present and took her to lunch and shopping. Something she loves to do. It was so much fun to listen to her chatter away and watch her pick out her special birthday present. (I even helped her clean her room, WOW, she is so much like I was, sorry Mom and Dad)
She was so excited to show off her new dress and shoes after her baptism. They were a surprise. She has fabulous taste in shoes.
A little later her inner artist came out and she had to sketch my sister Melissa, of course changing Melissa's outfit from jeans to a skirt, so much easier to draw.
I love CA so much and wish I lived closer! It was a great weekend to celebrate her.
